Google Maps functionality is now part of the Google MyBussines dashboard. It is a platform to manage and track your online presence on various Google platforms such as:
- Google Maps
- Google+
- Google Analytics
- Google Adwords
Starting to add business presence to Google Maps is already an obligation in 2021. Because many people use Google's advanced features to find places to eat, pulse stores, to motorcycle repair shops though.
So for those of you who are currently interested in bringing your business online but don't know how here are 5 easy steps on how to add your business to Google Maps.
Steps to Add a Business To Google Maps
1. Visit the Google My Bussiness Site
You can visit it by clicking the following link:
https://www.google.com/business/
Click the "Get On Google" option if you already have a Previous Google account and Sign In if you haven't already created a new one.
2. Enter Business Name and Business Address in the Lookup Field
3. Select or Add Your Business
Click on your business listing if it appears there. Otherwise, select the "Add Your Bussiness" option, and provide the necessary information.
Just a tip: Determine exactly how about your business information here such as name, address, phone number, and others. Because this data will later appear all over the web. Make sure the data you input remains consistent.
Also, keep in mind to provide as much detail as possible to Google. The better you present it, the better your business will look on their Listings.
At the bottom of the form, you'll be asked what category your business represents. This section is very important because Google uses this to classify your business and what types of search queries will show your business later.
4. Verify Your Business
If you have, Google will later verify that your business is in the location you specified. Usually, this process takes 1-2 weeks. Once Google is verified, you'll receive a verification PIN from them.
5. Confirm Business and Google+ Page Settings
And it's over. Next, you just need to set up a Google+ page for your business. Take it easy, the process is the same as when you create an account for social media.
